The Nuefoil Story

We come from diverse backgrounds in the marine, medical, and custom manufacturing industries, but one thing unites us all - a shared passion for eFoiling. As enthusiasts ourselves, we noticed a gap in the market for a product that was both family-friendly and durable, so we set out to create something everyone could enjoy.

Our eFoil board is inflatable, making it accessible for riders of all skill levels, without the worry of damaging it if it bumps into the dock. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider, our board is designed to withstand the roughness of everyday use while providing a fun, safe experience for the whole family.

As a small and agile team based on Vancouver Island in the beautiful Pacific Northwest of Canada, we’re committed to delivering quality and reliability. Our tight-knit crew allows us to adapt quickly, ensuring every product we bring to market meets our high standards and your expectations.

At Nuefoil, we're not just building eFoils - we're building a community that loves to ride and explore different bodies of water together.

Blake - Director of Product Development

As Director of Product Development, Blake has been the driving force behind the creation of our eFoil from day one. Long before Nuefoil had a name, Blake was testing concepts, and leading the development of what would eventually become our own eFoil.

Over two and a half years of research and development, Blake spent countless hours on the water through warm summers and cold winters, refining every aspect of the board to ensure it was ready for market. From the beginning, his vision was to create an eFoil that was safe, approachable, and enjoyable for the entire family - including his own.

When he's not working, Blake enjoys spending time with family, mountain biking, spearfishing, visiting new breweries and exploring the outdoors.

Zach - Mechanical Designer

Joining the team in 2025, Zach has quickly become an invaluable part of Nuefoil. He played a key role in completing the development of our Jet Drive system and continues to be heavily involved in both production and product development.

If you've placed an order with us, there's a good chance Zach has personally reviewed, prepared, and packaged it before it left our warehouse. When it comes to in-house prototyping and hands-on problem-solving, Zach is the go-to person, helping bring new ideas from concept to reality.

Outside of work, Zach enjoys working on motors, dirt biking, fishing, and spending quality time with his family.

Jake - mechanical designer

Jake's skills and expertise had a significant impact on the development of several key components at Nuefoil. He played a leading role in the design of both our handheld remote and the Jet Drive system, helping bring important innovations from concept to reality.

While Jake has since moved on to a different location and new employer, his contributions remain an important part of our story. The work he helped accomplish continues to influence our products today, and we are grateful for the dedication, creativity, and effort he brought to the team.

At Nuefoil, we are proud to recognize Jake's role in our journey and the lasting impact he has had on the development of our products.

Marketing / social media coordinator(s)

Since the beginning of 2026, NueFoil has been proud to partner with the University of Victoria by providing co-op and work placement opportunities for students during their academic work terms.
Each placement allows students to spend four months gaining valuable hands-on experience in their field of study, helping bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industry experience. Through these opportunities, students have the chance to develop practical skills, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain insight into their future careers.
At NueFoil, we are proud to play a role in supporting the next generation of professionals and to be part of these students' journeys as they build successful and rewarding careers.
